Introducing Match.com Events

Online dating sites are helpful in many ways except one – while they offer us endless opportunities to meet people online, ask them out, go for a drink, they don’t help much with that final step: actually meeting up.

We’re sure many online daters agree that it’s one of the most crucial and awkward stages of online dating – the transition from online to real life.

While there are some sites that have tried to make things easier for their members (like DoingSomething with their date night ideas), it’s still not easy to ask someone out, get the date organised and then to actually go through with it. So many things can go wrong and there’s no one else there to rely on: just yourself.

Match Events are Coming to a City Near You

That’s why we were happy to hear about Match.com coming up with a whole new feature for meeting up – match.com date nights. It basically means match.com will get a bunch of its members together in a bar in your nearest City where they can get to know each other in a chilled-out environment without the pressure of a one-on-one date hanging above their head. And what’s even better – they let you bring three single friends with you who don’t even have to be Match members. Talk about teaching a man how to fish! This is almost as good as giving us fish!

If you’re already a match.com member, there’s not much you have to do in order to participate in the Match.com events – you’ll be contacted by email and all you have to do is to send a reply back letting them know you’d like to take part. There’s a special section on the match.com website called Nights, where you can find out more information. If you’re not yet a match member, check out our Match.com review and decide whether it’s a site for you or not.
