Why Pay for Online Dating?
Though we’d ideally like all online dating sites to be free, the best of the free sites we tested fell some way short of the best of the paid dating options. The free sites seemed to be filled with more text speak, poor photos, rude messages or profiles and more bogus profiles.
Match.com came top in our Dating Reviews and is by far the most popular dating site in the UK. With so many people signed up we found that we got a much better choice of people in our area to choose from than any other site we tested. With the monthly cost also comes a better policing of dodgy profiles, poorly written bios, low quality pictures. In our experience the quality control of Match.com made it a much more enjoyable experience than free dating site equivalents.
